About me

Philip Lee

I’m a web designer currently located in Greater Manchester, UK. I have a bachelor’s degree in MMDADA (Multi-Media Design and Digital Animation) from the Cumbria Institute of the Arts in Carlisle.

I’ve been interested in web and 3D design for years. It started with doodles during classes when I was in education and then moved onto computers to keep up with the times. During my time at university I developed skills in; web development, web design, 3D design, 2D design, 3D animation and video editing. In my final year I chose to specialise in web design and interactivity. I created an interactive skateboard website, which developed my flash skills immensely and promoted my AS2 (actionscript 2.0) coding abilities.

Shortly after graduating I was hired by PH Media Group, a developing web company, where I learnt some vital tips of the trade in terms of design and development of websites and gained just over year’s commercial experience.

I am currently looking for a new challenge to take my skills to the next level.

Hobbies:My interests

Well web and 3D design obviously! As well as working professionally as a designer I also enjoy designing and creating websites as well as 3D and 2D artwork in my own time.

As well as indulging my creative side, I also like to partake in;

  • Drawing/doodling
  • Bmxing
  • Watching football
  • Playing the guitar
  • Playing the keyboard
  • Online gaming
  • Reading Manga novels
  • Watching Anime

What I probably enjoy most is listening to music. It allows me to relax away from the stresses of normal day-to-day life and when I’m working on a personal project it allows me to concentrate/focus on my objective by blocking out the noises of the city.

The music genres I seem lean towards are; metal, ska, punk, j-pop, j rock and Japanese anime songs. Off the top of my head I would like to send my appreciations to; Millencolin, Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Pennywise, Jimmy Eat World, Bad Religion, Mad Caddies, Reel Big Fish , Streetlight Manifesto, Blink 182 and Aya Hirano. If you haven’t heard of any of these bands, I suggest giving them a listen.

What I can do
